Today’s post is a little reflection.

I’ve done both live gigs and studio recordings.

The advantage of doing live gigs is that all mistakes (both as a sound engineer and as a musician) happen right then and there, and then they no longer exist. The advantage of studio recordings and music production is that any mistakes can be corrected afterwards and then also cease to exist.

Therefore, I have the utmost respect for the artists and technicians who do live gigs, it’s the most difficult thing to do… then add to this the act of actually recording the live gig. That is, saving the live gig for the future, as it happened… hats off, brave and well done! Today’s songs are therefore a selection of live recordings.

First up is:

Sometimes – Larkin Poe

Then comes:

Back to the Family – Jethro Tull

A giant not to be overlooked (goosebumps warning!):

Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen

The above comes from a completely wonderful playlist

Last out in today’s selection of songs will be:

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonley Hearts Club Band – Paul McCartney tillsammans med U2

The above comes from another great live playlist

So, a bonus on the theme, what does it look like? Well, it looks like this!

Enjoy!
