• I love creating music. It is rewarding. Not completing a track, but the journey and the experiance. Being able to explore and follow my curiousity.

Just like reading a book is an experiance that takes place while you read, and not in the completion of the task, having read the book, it is the same with music to me.

  • Only 8 to go

    Almost feels like goodbye

    + ,
  • This wasn’t really expected, but as Muddhedd asked for help with a track for the 24123-project, there was simply no other alternative but to do it.

You can read more about the track in the 24123 December releases.

  • My creation process often starts in one of the following ways:

    • An idea of what I want to do and explore with the sounds
    • An idea of a technical aspect that I want to try out
    • A melody, harmony or rhythm

  • I’ve always liked sound. I can remember as a child that I learned to understand the world through sound. Also, to detect changes in the world through sound. If things sound like they normally do, things are like they normally are. But a change in sound means that there is a change in the normal. Even though the sound does not always tell you what is different, it felt good to know that it is different. And a reason to keep eyes and ears open and pay extra attention to try and detect what was different.

  • As I write this, there is still 16 tracks of the 24123-project that is yet to be released. What are my reflections right now? Well, quite a few.

Now, as I look back at the production phase of this project, I realise that it did not only change the way I work with music or other creative outlets, the journey also helps me in my day-to-day life and at work.

  • This is both a super easy question with two easy answers, or if you look deeper into it, a rather complex question which I am afraid that I cannot answer.

    The two easy answers:

    • I make the kind of music that I love and would like to listen to myself (and yes, I am doing just that)
    • Electronic music

  • Mixing and mastering is an art form. I am full of admiration for those who excel in these difficult areas. Or, at least, they are difficult for me.

In the rear view mirror, the artform was not only to make music enjoyable for our ears, but also to make music physically suitable for vinyl and the limitations of reading vibrations with a needle. As technology has advanced, that is no longer a limiting factor for mixing or mastering, although the skills are still needed when choosing to release on vinyl.

  • Creating music is my passion. No. Scratch that. Is more than a passion. A lifestyle. A calling. Almost equally necessary as breathing oxygen or drinking water (coffee).

I create music for me. Sure I make it available for you, but in no means do I expect you to like it or listen to it. In fact, I don’t even care if anyone ever will listen to it. I like it. I enjoy it, and I listen to it. The purpose of my music is served as it is created. It is the creation itself that is the point. That is what I enjoy. And please don’t get me wrong, of course I will be happy if you like my music. And by all means, enjoy it! And should you not, I hope you find music that suits you and that you like!
